3 Days Rwanda Birding Safari
A 3 Days birding safari, this starts and ends in Kigali. It can also be done on a private basis and this safari visits Akagera with its beautiful undulating plains, its woodlands and sprawling lakes and wetlands. The game in the park is steadily increasing, with elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, crocodile and different antelope beginning to be seen. Akagera has a good selection of birds.
TOUR ITINERARY
Day One: Drive to Akagera National Park.
You will drive to the east of Rwanda to Akagera National Park after being briefed about your safari. You will have an afternoon game drive in the park and you will be able to see a variety of birds and animals such as elephant, giraffe, buffalo, spotted hyena, hippo, and crocodiles. Overnight and dinner at Akagera Lodge (FB)/Hotel Dereva.
Day Two: Canoe Ride.
After breakfast, you either go for a morning game drive in the park again or a canoe ride on Lake Ihema to see the large number of hippo, the huge Nile crocodile and birds. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Lodge (FB)/Hotel Dereva.
Day Three: Return to Kigali.
An early morning game drive. Lunch and return to Kigali.
